Business Process Improvements
Tecumseh has had a long-term strategic partnership with the National
Business Process Improvement (BPI) coordinator for GSA's Office of
Property Disposal. In this important role, the BPI coordinator works
directly with the assistant commissioner and with all the zone offices to
implement an ambitious agenda of BPI initiatives. Tecumseh has
provided tangible contributions and consultation on virtually all the BPI
efforts. The objective of these efforts has been to develop
state-of-the-art solutions during a period of unprecedented downsizing and
cutbacks in the federal work force. Because the Office of Property
Disposal has a statutory government-wide responsibility to provide
operational real estate support related to the disposition of federal
properties, it is especially imperative that the talents of their
diminishing workforce are leveraged to the maximum extent possible.
Tecumseh
has employed a wide range of quality management and performance
improvement techniques in providing day-to-day consultation and assistance
to this key federal program. For example, Tecumseh continues to
conduct extensive market research in support of the program's customer
focus. We have completed process analyses and flow diagrams in a wide
variety of program elements, and we have facilitated numerous meetings and
conferences designed to move the organization inexorably forward in its
commitment to quality.
